SpiceGirl

Spicy is a VERY sweet little girl. She loves to be fussed over, and will stand for a long time while you're brushing her - which is quite different than most of the others - they like it for awhile and then get bored. Spicy learned very early what pockets are for, and is always checking my hands and pockets to see if I have any treats for her. She loves the hard apple-flavored treats we give them, but she has definite ideas of what's reasonable. If I give her too large a piece (I usually cut the smaller pieces in half for her), she simply opens her mouth and drops it.

Trying to clean the stalls when she's in the mood for attention is rather difficult. She's mastered the art of simply walking in front of you and standing in your way until she gets your attention, and is also good about "herding" you if you're trying to walk away.

Her best buddy is Dancer. He's incredibly gentle with her, and loves to get her running. Then you see him hang back just enough so that she's always in front ... having seen him run, you know he can run faster - but he lets her lead so that she has fun too.

Now that a year has passed since I updated this page ... sigh ... she's gotten much taller than her brother. She's still slender, but stands taller than Bear, who used to be the biggest of our herd. She's still a lovely palomino colour, and still craves attention ... and treats. Now she has Dancer to run with ... and her little brother nagging at her to run.  They look very much alike when you se them together, except that, of course, Cinnamon is much shorter.

Hannah and Spicy get to try out a big new pasture, and everyone joins in the festivities getting used to their new stall every day around 5PM, the gang starts to play - here's Spicy rearing Spicy's managed to get Dancer running, but nobody else is interested yet
he always seems to let her lead ... this usually seems to go on until she gets tired - he never seems to get bored with running Dancer, Spicy and Hannah in the snow .... I'm trying to take pictures and they're checking to see if I have treats. December 12th ... snow again. Of course, the upside is it shoes her color better
